During UEFA matches, concerts and state events BKK may run more frequent trains and extended service (Puskás Aréna, Hősök tere).
The metro does not run after 23:10. Instead use the 900-series night buses (900, 901, 902, 906, 907, 908, 914, 916, 920, 923, 950, 956, 970, 990) — they run throughout the night.
During maintenance or unexpected service disruptions, BKK runs a replacement bus service along the metro route. Check the BudapestGO app and bkk.hu for current information.
For official, real-time schedules and service information visit bkk.hu or use the BudapestGO app. On major sporting events and holidays the metro may extend its operating hours.
The first train generally departs the terminals around 04:30. There can be slight variation by line, but every line starts service at roughly this time.
The last trains arrive at the terminals at around 23:10. Always check the exact time on the official BKK site before an important trip.
No — the metro does not run at night. Instead you can use the BKK night bus network (routes numbered in the 900s), which operates throughout the night.
