Bikás park — overview
Named after the park whose grounds hold its entrance, Bikás park serves the housing estates of Kelenföld in southern Buda. During planning it was called Tétényi út. Construction began in 2006, and in October 2013 it became the first M4 station to receive its occupancy permit; passengers arrived with the opening of the line on 28 March 2014.
It is an open-plan station with a single island platform, designed by Főmterv. The escalators climb to an underpass that connects, on the park side, to a glass hall reminiscent of Budapest's CET building on the Danube. Daylight pours through it all the way to the platform, making Bikás park one of the first stations in the system with skylights.

Nearby attractions and places
Above ground you step into a large green park surrounded by the panel-block estates of Kelenföld, with playgrounds and footpaths used by local families. Most riders here are residents heading into town, which is only a few stops away. Gábor Dénes College is a short walk from the station. It is a quiet, residential corner of District XI, in contrast with the busy hubs at either end of this stretch of the line.

The station opened to passengers on 28 March 2014 with the first section of M4. Built from 2006, it was the first station on the line to be finished, in September 2013, and received its occupancy permit on 22 October 2013. The tunnel boring machines had reached it, then still called Tétényi út, back in autumn 2007.
