Gyöngyösi utca — overview
Under Váci út at its crossing with Gyöngyösi utca and Meder utca, in northern Angyalföld (District XIII), this station sits between Forgách utca and Újpest-városkapu. It opened on 14 December 1990 with the extension that brought M3 to Újpest.
It is a shallow station, 4.51 m below ground, with side platforms joined by a passage beneath the tracks. The southern exit leads straight to the street; the exits at the northern end open into an underpass with a direct walkway to the Duna Plaza shopping mall. The station was shut from 4 November 2017 to 29 March 2019 while the northern section was rebuilt.

Nearby attractions and places
Expect a mix of housing estate and shopping: a small cluster of prefab apartment blocks stands beside the station, and the Duna Plaza mall is reached through the underpass without going outside. Towards the Danube, the newer Marina part riverside apartments also rely on this stop. Most riders are residents heading downtown and shoppers bound for the mall.

In December 1990, together with the rest of the line from Árpád híd to Újpest-központ. Its location was a cost-cutting compromise that merged two planned stops into one, and it reopened in spring 2019 after the northern section’s overhaul.
