Overview
The Széchenyi Thermal Bath is one of Europe's largest medicinal baths, set in a neo-Baroque palace in City Park. It is famous for its outdoor pools, which stay open all year round. The station serving it carries the bath's own name and lies on the historic yellow M1 line.

How to get there
Take the M1 (yellow) line — continental Europe's oldest underground, dating from 1896 and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site — to the Széchenyi fürdő stop. Up the short passage and stairs, the bath's main entrance is about a 2-minute walk.
Good to know
💡 Bring a towel and flip-flops or rent them on site; a swimming cap is not required. Tickets can often be bought online, saving you the long queue at the cash desk. Because of their historic design, M1 stations are small and only partly step-free.
